In 2018, the operating mileage of railways was 132,000 kilometers, including 30,000 kilometers of high-speed railways, ranking second and first in the world respectively; the highway mileage was 4.85 million kilometers, including 143,000 kilometers of expressways, ranking first in the world.

The total assets of China's financial industry are nearly 300 trillion yuan, of which the banking industry is 268 trillion yuan, ranking first in the world. The balance of foreign exchange reserves exceeds US$3 trillion, ranking first in the world for many years.
